I have been stitching for years - making pillows, pictures, little things to sit around, ornaments….you name it. I eventually got tired - not of the stitching, but how many pillows does one person need??!! So, I set it aside. I discovered paper crafting about 5 years ago and have been in love. AND THEN I discovered stitching on paper for cards….swoon….be still my heart….
Hyacinths are some of my favorite flowers. And, when I saw this stamp set by Altenew it immediately went into my cart. The layered stamping gives it so much dimension that I never could have created on my own. I used the Altenew laying inks too - love love them as well.
Girls floating in swimming pools holding drinks in a coconut! Can it get any more perfect than that? My Favorite Things has the BEST shaker pouches - I buy all of them every time the come out. This time I made 12 cards. I have a few girlfriends and family members who would love these cards. Wonder who they will be….:)
Holy moly all you cat lovers out there! Even you non cat lovers - aren’t these just the cutest ever! I love the Lawn Fawn Tiny Gift Box. And the add ons make it extra special. When I saw these cats I knew I had to make them - one for every person in the family. We are a family of cat lovers for sure
I seem to be drawn to bright and vibrant colors. It must be summer! All the flowers are amazing right now and everything is so big and awesome!
I have been collecting foiling items for a few months now and today I thought I would try them out. I have been watching quite a few videos on how to use Transfer Gel and Peel N Stick Toner Sheets. It seemed pretty easy….and it was. I dug out stencils that I have not used in awhile……
Every once in awhile a new release will speak to me - the WHOLE release in fact. I just love all the dies, stamps and stencils from this Pretty Pink Posh release. The surf board colors have endless possibilities - and oh so fun to color. Mixing techniques and changing up the backgrounds gives each of these cards a unique look.
I finally got around to making a few cards with this adorable Pink Fresh Studios Adore Alphabet Die set. (Sometimes life gets in the way of my crafting - how can that even happen!) The dies are different because they cut an outline at the same time. If you look close you can see the outline around the word LOVE. The backgrounds were stamped with sticky embossing ink and white embossing powder. I used the same dies with 2 totally different results.
Seasonal cards are some of my favorite to make. I have been on vacation and have had a ton of family so this year so I am a little behind with these 4th of July cards. I went thru my stash looking for all the proper supplies, and I realized that I did not have a great cover plate to use for the background - so, I designed one myself and cut it out on my Cricut Maker. As the backgrounds were cutting I was able to work on other parts of my cards and, best of all, it was free! And, I was multi tasking! Check them out! AND, download your FREE SVG cut file for the Stars Background Coverplate.
This stamp and die set from Concord & 9th was so fun to work with. There were so many possibilities that I didn't even know where to begin. Now, I am not the most creative card maker out there, so I usually search Pinterest for ideas, and then I try and make them my own. They are interactive too!!!
I went to my craft room and made a ton, and I mean a ton (like 40) Alcohol Pearl Ink backgrounds. I tried all different kinds of techniques with my Alcohol Pearl Inks. I brought out embossing folders and stencils I haven’t used in years…
My summer is jam packed with vacations and people coming to visit. Card making is where I relax and I was thinking I would not have time to get in my room and create. But, I could not let the Lawn Fawn Summer 2019 release pass me by without buying anything! As a matter of fact, I wanted to buy it all! I fell in love and just had to say yes.
Card making is totally relaxing for me. I love to go to my craft room and try and figure out what I feel like doing next. Sometimes I love to just die cut and glue. Other times I love to use alcohol markers. This time I decided to use watercolors and make these cute Flower Shaker Cards…
